The Arizona Violent Death Reporting System (AZ-VDRS) collects violent death data from multiple sources: death certificates issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services, police reports obtained from investigating agencies, and autopsy reports from medical examiner offices. The purpose of this project is to assist stakeholders with strategic planning and prevention efforts aimed towards reducing the number of violent deaths that occur each year in Arizona. This report focuses on the special topic of intimate partner violence and its interaction with homicide.
